OS: Ubuntu 12.04 x64
MakeMKV Version: 1.89
This is a brief report from Amarcord 1973, Criterion Collection. It works fine for the most part except for audio, which has some problems. The disc has a 24 bit LPCM mono track, which doesn't play in VLC or Totem player. VLC's araw module throws an error mentioning that the no. of audio channels can't be 0. This, as it turns out, is the problem, and it can be verified by inspecting the headers of the MKV. The MKV headers can be edited and saved, and the channel count can be set to 1 in mkvmerge. After updating the channel count to 1, the file plays fine in VLC and Totem. The MKV headers edited this way are only a temporary fix though and won't carry forward if the MKV is remuxed. At least not by mkvmerge.
