Hello,

I have following configuration: Synology DS1813+, switch D-Link DGS-1210-28 fw:4.00.012 and Samsung TV UA55ES8000M fw:002009.
When I'm trying playback MKV file made by MakeMKV (all versions) via "any" DLNA server (I tried Synology Media server, Samsung Allshare and XBMC server) on the TV, it seams to be any subtitles are not present. MKV file was made from Bluray source. It is a global problem when source is a Bluray. When I try to play the same MKV file via for example SMPlayer v0.8.0, subtitles are normally present. But. If the source of MKV file is a DVD, subtitles are present via DLNA server on the TV too. Now the problem of "missing captions" observe when I try to play this file in The KMPlayer v3.8. The older versions of The KMPlayers subtitles are normaly shows.
Change the Default profile in MakeMKV preferences from Deafult to WDTV can't any effect.
Can you help me please?

DLNA sucks and I'm surprised to see you're getting DVD subs (VobSubs), usually DLNA servers only support embedded SRT subs. Apart from that I haven't read about any SmartTV that does play BD subs (PGS).

Well, what can I do (please give me a guide for dummies)?

OR

Maybe a stupid question but... Is it possible to modify MakeMKV so that the Bluray subtitles put into the stream as same as the DVD subtitles?

Get a decent mediaplayer like the WDTV or extract the subs and convert them to VobSub with BDSUP2SUB or OCR them to SRT with Subextractor.
