Hi. Hercules Bluray keeps failing half way through the rip. Any help would be appreciated.

Have done so and trying again. Just a bit weird as its genuine and brand new straight out of the case. All other tracks rip fine but the actual film.

Any number of things can happen, including interaction with the packaging... I've noticed a LOT of cases having marks on the holders from suction cups used to move them around in assembly. If there are any chemicals left on the cups, they can transfer to the disk during shipping. Any blemish can de-focus the laser just enough to make it unable to read a sector or two.

Still getting a failure. Disc is clean and it plays on everything else. Could it possibly be another form of encryption that MKV can't break?

Quinlan, FWIW, I had a similar experience with Wreck-It Ralph, and posted my experience. Exact same problems as you - Disney disc, straight out of the shrink wrap and into the drive, which has ripped other discs just fine both before and after, and can play the disc fine with BR player software.
My hunch is that something is going on with Disney BRs to make them exhibiting this "uncorrectable error" behavior, but it's mostly a hunch based on viewing other people having the same problems with Disney BRs.
