I purchased the US retail version Blu-ray 3d + Bluray _ Digital HD

I am attempting to rip the bluray. It has two mpls

00810 movie length 1:52:03

00800 movie length 1:52:08

So in an attempt to determine the correct mpls I played the disc utilizing vlc and an xbox one. Both played the movie and determined the movie length was 1:52:04

I am guessing the 00810 is the correct mpls. Anyone else ripped this movie and determined the correct mpls?

Looks like you're right, it's 00810. 00800 has one extra stream at the beginning that's just a blank image for 5 seconds.

I am having an issue with the UK release.

After scanning, the 00800.mpls steam is listed (alongside other steams of a shorter length). I can see that "Title 00801.mpls is equal to title 00800.mpls and was skipped" (note that this is 00801 not 00810 as noted in this thread). The end result is that I am stuck with only 00800 as an option and this is the steam with the extra five seconds (and in my case some random audio).

Is there a way to prevent MakeMKV from skipping any mpls that are equal to other titles?

Well, I'm very late to this, but I thought I'd chime in with all the info I could find for anyone else who might come across this thread years later, just as I did. Google search is very happy to point people to these forums when searching for playlist info.

Unfortunately, on the UK release, playlist 801 is identical to 800 as far as the segment map goes, having segment map 930,914 where 930 is the 5 blank seconds.

There's no playlist 810 on the UK release.

And one doesn't want to rip just segment map m2ts 914, since you don't get the chapters that way.

So for the UK release of this movie, we're stuck with playlist 800 and the extra five seconds, total runtime 1:52:08.

The UK 3D disc, however, does have a playlist (850) without the five blank seconds, total runtime 1:52:03.

Very strange.

(The method I used to get around the duplicate skipping and check was to make a backup of the disc to the hard drive, rename the mpls I didn't want MakeMKV to open, and then open the backup.)

Segment map 930 that we're stuck with at the top of the movie has audio saying "Left rear, left surround" and then a beep!

I guess the best choice is the chapter-less m2ts.

Is this still the case? That I'm stuck with those first 4 seconds? I can see from the chapter list that the movie actually starts with chapter 2...is there no way I can start creating the MKV at chapter 2?
