So, I installed 1.8.6 today and have tried three movies, R.I.P., Smurfs 2 and Mortal Instruments. I get a fail error on all three disks. It can be read, but when it goes to rip it, it doesn't work. I should mention that these are Blu-ray and that everything was working just fine with the old version.

"It doesn't work. Why?"
"What error message did it give?"

(debug logs are always SO much more helpful in determining why something "doesn't work" than knowing that it "worked before".)
