Nine Inch Nails: Beside You In Time problem ripping

Hey guys. New to this. Been ripping on MKV and it's been fantastic. The ONLY disc I've run into a problem with is the concert Blu-ray of NINE INCH NAILS: BESIDE YOU IN TIME.
I can rip the movie, but when I look at the file in VLC the picture is filled with distortion. The audio appears to be fine though. I have attempted to rip this about three times, and the outcome is always the same.
Upon investigating online I've found that others have had problems with this particular Blu, but there don;t appear to be any clear directions to correct it. I did find this about the disc on Wiki:
"The Blu-ray release is encoded at 1080p30, which is not supported by the Blu-ray specification. For this reason, the disc had to be flagged as 1080i60.[8] This means that Blu-ray disc players that only read the flag to decide the format, rather than also checking the content, are only able to play this disc at 1080i60 or lower (e.g. the Sony PlayStation 3)."
Dunno if that has anything to do with it. I am using MKV on an iMac running Mavericks. As I said before, every other disc has worked great.
Please help.
Best,
Erik
