Kick-Ass Blu Ray Rip always fails.

I recently purchased MakeMKV after the trial got me through most of my new collection, and decided it was worth the money to support. I love the software. It's a very user friendly software, but Kick-Ass will not rip. I've tried on multiple computers, with 1.8.5 and 1.8.6. I've been ripping my collection direct to disc. I do not have an actual Blu Ray player, only two computers with Panasonic Blu Ray Drives. I've only had one other rip error out on me, and I can't remember which movie, because a restart fixed the issue and I didn't think much of it. I will say, I'm not necessarily purchasing the most expensive sources. This particular Blu Ray is a Canadian distributed Blu Ray which came with The Punisher, Sin City, The Crow, and The Spirit. Region is labelled on the collection and on the Amazon page as A/1. It's a brand new disk, but I guess I can't say that 1 out of 100 disks I bought on the cheap wouldn't be bad.

The drive can't read part of the disk. You can sometimes get by things like this by increasing the retries, and I've had luck with a few new disks that fail like this by waxing them (water-based furniture wax), but the disk does have a problem.

I was worried about that, but I suppose a $7.00 blu ray being bad is overall better than the $60 drive, or the new software I just bought.
