Hello,
I used makemkv latest version to rip "12 angry men" bluray. The mkv file video itself seems fine. however, I get no audio. With powerdvd 9, it simply plays video without audio. With Vlc 2.0.6, it gives a popup warning saying "VLC does not support the audio or video format "s24l". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."

This is the first time I've encountered this with any dvd or bluray. Has anyone seen this? Do you think this s24l is specific to this bluray?

VLC doesn't support WAVEX-in-MKV.

You can re-process the MKV file in MakeMKV using the "FLAC" conversion profile (you will need to enable "Expert mode" in MakeMKV options).
