This blu-ray seems to process and complete but the resulting files won't play in Kiwk media nor can I open them in VideoReDo h.264. DVRMSToolkit complains that no filter can be found for this file.

I've tried this several more times, changing audio files, only selecting the movie, etc. The .mkv will play in power dvd 10 normally, it will not open in videoReDo, it will not decode in dvrmstoolkit, it will open in Nerovision without sound and you can play it but you cannot export or make a blu-ray from it.

It's probably the encoding of the files on the disc, not MakeMKV's fault. I had a BITCH of a time getting a copy of Christina, Barcelona that would play. I think it was a VC-1 (Micro$**t codec) encoded. Check the codec on TotSM. If it's VC-1, there's your problem. Just don't ask to see my badges! ;-)

Yes it is VC-1; but I think I've seen that before....what was different this time is that the MKV would play in Nerovision without sound, would not play in Nero Kwik Media and PowerDVD8 updated twice and then installed PowerDVD10 before the disc or the MKV would play....

There must be a new codec but I can't find any update in the library for ffmpeg.

How long has this been lurking out there or is it something that WB just started using?

Here's part of the script from DVRMSToolkit

It is VC-1 in the MS format. But the audio shows as DCA....I know I've done other VC-1 titles but this one is a stumper.

Hooray! makemkv.com is back! :-)

I had this problem with "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona" blu-ray, and I recall it being a VC-1 problem, not a makemkv problem.
