The BD Live function of Blu-ray discscan be used by the studios to download whatever they choose to your player (unwanted updates, etc.).
I've noted that both DVDFab and AnyDVD HD provide the ability to "turn off" BD Live.
Is this something that MakeMKV could also make available regarding full disc Blu-ray backups?

@tidaltides
Hi!
No confusion here ;>}
My request regarding BDLive is pertinent ONLY to FULL DISC backups of Blu-ray discs.
Turning off BD Live on such a backup precludes the possibility of studios accessing/uploading data to your PC if you're playing a FULL DISC Blu-ray backup on your PC while it's connected to the Internet...

Is turning off "BDLive" (regarding "FULL DISC" Blu-ray backups) something that you can readily make available from within MakeMKV?

If I remember correctly, Mike has stated in the past that the purpose of the "backup" function in MakeMKV is to allow you to rip a disc to your hard drive in order to open it with MakeMKV in the future. It is not designed to make copies which will work in commercial Blu-ray players.
EDIT: Here it is, I found the post. Seems you have asked this before!

@crowfax
The post at the link you provided is not regarding "BD Live"...

The point still stands, the "backup" feature is not designed to make playable movies. It's for use by MakeMKV at a later date.

I'll presume that you are sincerely attempting to be helpful and are not just nitpicking - so I'll offer just one last response to you on this topic:
There would be no reason to offer both Decrypted and Not Decrypted "FULL DISC" Blu-ray backups in addition to "MOVIE ONLY" MKV backups (as you say) "for use by MakeMKV at a later date"...
and I'll continue to look forward to a response from "mike admin" to my question, whether positive or negative:Is turning off "BDLive" (regarding "FULL DISC" Blu-ray backups) something that you can readily make available from within MakeMKV?
