i?ve got a problem with the programm.

I started to make a backup of my original blu-ray discs and it turned out that i can not backup the 5th blu-ray disk out of 5 without issues.
The first 4 disks are backed perfectly without problems.
But the backup data file of the 5th disk is broken.
The pictures of the movie are bucked, hard artifacts are visible and the framerate is really low. Its not an issue of the data file on the disk because the movie is running without problems if it?s played back from the disk.
We tried 2 diffrent media players (VLC, clear-fi) and both had playback issues with the datafile from the 5th disk.
Clear-fi had smaller issues with the movie. With clear-fi the movie played back good but every 5 minutes the picture get artifacts for seconds.
We checked up the datainfo with the programm Mediainfo to look up the differences between the first 4 disks and the 5th.
It turned out that all 5 disk have the same Codec (VC-1.). but the framerate of the 5th disk was higher (5th = 29 FPS/ 1-4th= 24 FPS).

The Original Blueray plays fine with both Players.

My Question is: Why I have these bugs only on Blu-Ray 5? And how can I correct it?

The real difference is that the last disc uses interlaced encoding. VLC has only partial (and, as you noticed, still very buggy) support for decoding interlaced VC-1. This will improve over time.

Regarding the much smaller issue in clear-fi, does re-multiplexing the MKV file with mkvmerge GUI (default settings) help?

I updated Clear-fi and that solfed the issue. I am now able to play the video back how it supposed to be.
But it would be more comfortable to play the video back wit VLC-media player.
Is there any chance to configue VLC that i can play back interlaced encoding datafiles?

It's not an issue with all interlaced files, but VC-1 interlaced. It's a limitation of VLC's VC-1 decoder, not a configuration problem.

The only workaround would be to make VLC use another VC-1 decoder. This might be possible under Windows:

You could try either of the following:

- Use GPU Acceleration

- Use system codecs if available

Note that the page above doesn't look like it's 100% up-to-date, so things may differ in the current version of VLC.

I solved the problem. There's a Plug-in for Windows Media Player named "Haali Media Splitter" now i can watch disc5 with the windwows media player.
