Im trying to play a blueray movie with my BD player and it says incorrect region. I'm hoping there is workaround for my specific player. Im hoping to flash the firmware to unlock it? my drive details are in the pic. Thanks for looking at my thread! Any help would be high appreciated.
There's no images. Please don't try to attach them here. Either host them elsewhere and use the insert image button to add the url or just type or copy/paste the text.
Are you talking about an actual blu-ray player or a PC optical drive? I assume the latter as that is what MakeMKV is used with. There is no firmware that makes an optical drive region free. MakeMKV does not care about region coding and ignores/removes it when reading discs.

AFAIK PC Blu-ray drives don't even implement region lock for Blu-ray discs anyway (they still do for DVDs though). If a "player" (e.g. PowerDVD) complains about region, it's only because it implements / "mimicks" a region lock in its own logic (and the region choice / change counter "of the drive" are really just stored in e.g. Windows registry).
In other words, PC Blu-ray drives themselves have always been region free (for Blu-ray discs).
P.S. For DVDs using a "player" that leverages libdvdcss (e.g. VLC) would bypass the DVD region lock of the drive (for others such as MPC and likely also its forks there's probably no way other than ripping beforehand).
