Hi team - The first thing that happens with the Mordecai Blu-Ray is the message, "This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting
http://www.makemkv.com/... Downloading latest HK to C:/Program Files (x86)/MakeMKV ...."
Then, it shouts the VOLUME KEY ERROR as follows: "Error 'OS error - Access is denied' occurred while creating 'C:/Program Files (x86)/MakeMKV/MKB_v51_Mortdecai_32D0.tgz' The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted." How to rip this disc?

Given the age of the disk, what version of MakeMKV are you trying to rip it with? The current v1.18.x series should be able to rip it just fine.
Do you have your system able to pull keys as needed?

Running v1.18.3. It should be able to pull keys (or so I thought) with the default configuration. This is the first BD it's struggled with, too, oddly enough.

After the last MakeMKV update, this BD suddenly ripped successfully without that Error at all. I'm thankful. This was odd to see on a 10+ year old film, but I'm thankful that it's working now.

To add... you changed the location of MakeMKV's data directory to a location you DO NOT have write permission to.
MakeMKV Preferences > 'General' tab ( default: %UserProfile%\.makeMKV )
Saving future dumps will continue to fail. This will also work against you for future updates, as any custimizations/history will be deleted when the old version of MakeMKV is uninstalled (part of the update). This is why the data directory is separate by default.
