Is anyone else having an issue with Arrow Video Blu-ray of Spawn not ripping? I have been trying the past 2 weeks and it will not rip.
However the 4K rips just fine. This seems very odd that the bluray refuses to rip. and before everyone starts yelling at me, I don't have the 4K, my brother has and I did rip it but then I accidently deleted the film and my brother lives out of state, so all I have is the bluray. Also I have seen many receive the bluray or 4K 3-2 weeks earlier then the release date and I have seen some post the 4K dump file. So don't jump on me saying "It's not even out yet" Well if anyone can hep me, or have any suggestions, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Have you tried downloading the latest public KeyDB file and extracting it to your MakeMKV data directory (where the dumps are)?

Oh ok. Yeah I've already done this twice and sent dump file via email 3 different times. And still no go. Guess I have to wait til they decided to decide the key or do what they do.

Normally you don't have to submit keys for regular blu-rays, only 4K UHDs. However, blu-rays with the latest version of AACS (the encryption scheme used on blu-rays), AACS v82 are a little different. As such, for the moment, dump files needs to submitted just like UHDs. Eventually, like UHDs, a hashed key will be created and MakeMKV will download it and use it to rip the regular blu-ray in question.
At some point, it is expected that MakeMKV will be updated so that it doesn't require a dump to be submitted for AACS v82 blu-rays, but I don't know when that'll be.
Separately from MakeMKV's built-in hashed keys mechanism, there's the Public KeyDB. MakeMKV can be configured to also use the Public KeyDB. You can separately give your dump to those folks who can use it to produce a key that'll be made available in the KeyDB. You have to manually update your copy of the KeyDB, however.
