I was able to rip my other two LOTR box set, but Fellowhip won't rip. Here is the error I'm getting:

Error 'OS error - (ipc/send) invalid destination port' occurred while reading '/BDMV/
STREAM/00001.m2ts' at offset '7663515648'?
Error 'OS error - (ipc/send) invalid destination port' occurred while reading '/BDMV/

Then that DEBUG line just keeps repeating forever. The drive is basically dead then and I have to turn it off and restart it to be recognized.

Any ideas?

Oh, I have the latest version of MKV and DASPI installed (1.3).

Looks like a bad disc. Can you copy that file ( BDMV/
STREAM/00001.m2ts ) from BD disc in finder? Please try making a full disc backup and see if you get any errors.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried a full disc copy and got an error:

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00001.m2ts' at offset '7673741312'
DEBUG: Code 0 at Cc]bc83.'&5;n|>cN-@;:29399772
DEBUG: Code 0 at Cc]bc83.'&5;n|>cN-@;:213140748
Backup failed

So I'm guessing it is a bad disc as you mentioned. I'll try and exchange it.

Thanks!

Well I tried another disc and got the exact same error. So not sure what to think now. Perhaps this disc is just impossible to rip. Weird that the other two in the trilogy were fine.

There is no form of copy protection that stops a blu-ray from being rippable. You may have to wait sometimes to be able to decode it, but you will ALWAYS be able to copy it to your harddrive.

Unfortunately you seem to have come across a poorly manufactured disc, and they're probably in a batch. Return it and keep trying till you get one that works.
