Hello, this is my first submission, so please let me know if I'm doing anything incorrectly.

This is the debug dump file for the new Blu-ray.
Happy to provide more information as necessary/helpful.

That one's in the KeyDB. You can either manually download it and extract it to your MakeMKV data directory or you can use my tool to automatically sync the KeyDB with FindVUK and magically copies it to your MakeMKV data directory for you.

Additionally if you set it up following all the directions, it'll probably take care of any future v82 titles you may encounter.

Thank you for the link. I'm using a Mac, so I won't be able to take advantage of your tool, but I will see if I can try the manual approach.

I attempted to back up the disc again last night and this morning. MakeMKV reported that it updated the HK, but I still got the same ("volume key is unknown for this disc") error. Here are two more dump files:
Note that I had no problem backing up my US/Worldwide edition of this Blu-ray, only this one from the Japanese 2CD+1BR package. It's not a region issue, as the disc plays just fine in my US player.

As a side note: Is there a simple way to trigger a key database update on the Mac? It appears to only do an automatic update every 24 hours or so.

The latest KEYDB.cfg file already contains your disk. Have you also emailed your TGZ dump file to svq@makemkv.com, so that your disk can also be added to MakeMKV's "hashed keys" database?

The KEYDB.cfg file is an optional alternative database that MakeMKV can fall back on, if available. However, you will need to install and update this file yourself because MakeMKV only updates its own "hashed keys" database automatically. You need to copy KEYDB.cfg file into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restart MakeMKV.

Thank you for your reply. Dropping the KEYDB.cfg into my directory seems to have solved the problem.

I will email the TGZ file to the address you indicated, as well.
