I did not read MakeMKV posts about this, but did you peeps know that you can convert the bluray ripped files right back into a iso file again? Pity MakeMKV does not do this automatically at ripping, as with DVD. Bluray always get saved a folders and files on the computer.
But, Imgburn program converts the ripped files and folders directly as a iso file again, and you can play it in VLC.
Blu-ray rip convert into iso (imgburn)
Re: Blu-ray rip convert into iso (imgburn)
You can play the folder with VLC as well, so why make it into an ISO?
Just go to Open Media -> Disc -> Blu-ray and there you enter the path to the directory, where the BDMV directory is inside (basically the root of the BluRay).
Re: Blu-ray rip convert into iso (imgburn)
I assume that you need original filesystem structure thingy from blu-ray. In some cases, such as 3D BD or MGVC, It can be critical. Unfortunately, ISO burn is not helpful for this. It will just repacking extracted files. Like Ezatoka said, It's pointless. Unless you have your own reason for keeping BDMV as a single file.
In the other hand, if you need truly necessary ISO ripping, MakeMKV is not able to do it. xreveal is the only option I believe.

Re: Blu-ray rip convert into iso (imgburn)
ISO has it's benefits:
- 1 file only
- dvd / bluray menu intact
- movie files sometimes cut into a billion pieces and you can hunt down the order of things
DVD is by default ripped as iso, perfect.
Bluray not. It just creates the folders and files.
So I use IMGBurn to re-create MakeMKV output as iso again.
Saves a lot of problems with movies like fast and the furious 6 and 7 for example.
The main movie is cut into many small pieces.

Re: Blu-ray rip convert into iso (imgburn)
where is that a problem if you just let MakeMKV make a single MKV file out of them? Actually you can do so with just any video on the disc, then you wouldn't need the menus anymore. Yes, it's work to do, once. But then you have files like
