I just got my pre-order disc, and opened it up and popped it into MakeMKV first thing. I'm using an LG BP60NB10. MakemKV is saying it cannot open the disc. Error output below.

MakeMKV v1.17.9 win(x64-release) started
Using LibreDrive mode (v06.3 id=4C194CE2C4D1)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\jared/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v77_TOMBSTONE_12E4.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted

Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. C:\Users\jared\.MakeMKV\ in your case) and restarting MakeMKV?

This should go in the UHD section but regardless you should email that dump to:

Code: Select all

svq@makemkv.com
Additionally it's potentially in the KeyDB.cfg file. You can use my tool to sync the keydb to your MakeMKV data directory and then use the disc info button to scan your disc and see if it's supported there.

My apologies for posting in the wrong section. The tool to update the Key DB did the trick. I have the tool as a permanent on my pc now. There're so many things to learn for doing this. It's sometimes overwhelming trying to go through all the different articles to figure out something. But I'm thankful for the replies and the help. :)

That's why I wrote the tool...to try to help people and make it easier. Glad it worked!
