this issue has arisen today. I had previously ripped this bluray with no issue, but today it seemed to have a major issue.
I put the disc in and makemkv told me 'no disc'. i tried to eject it and the drive didn't open, instead it tried reading the disc again, with the same result; 'no disc'.
I restarted my PC, tried unplugging my bluray drive, reinstalling makemkv, all to no avail.
I force quit cdrom arbiter service.
I manually opened the drive with the emergency release and put in star trek first contact and closed it and miraculously, the disc was read. i took it out and put The Marvels in and it now read the disc.
I don't know if it was first contact that fixed the issue or force quitting the cdrom arbiter service.
I couldn't see any error codes, but it does say this
though feel that it says that every time by default...Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVALID COMMAND OPERATION CODE' occurred while issuing SCSI command 46020..00140 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'
