Hi,
I have a blu-ray which have more subtitles then MakeMKV is showing. In VLC play I see 16 tracks for subtitles. In MakeMKV there are only 3: english, japanese (2x). The one I want (dutch) is not present.
Different preferred language settings: default, english, dutch will produce the same result.
Is there a way to get the subtitles I want?

Under Preferences->Language, what do you have set for "Preferred language"? If anything other than "none" is set, it will hide other languages by default. With a setting of "none", though, you should see a list of selectable languages for both audio and subtitle.

Under the "Advanced" tab (only visible if you have "Expert mode" checked in the General tab), there is a Default selection rule that lets you set which languages are preferred.

If have "Preferred language"" at none.
The default selection rule is:

Code: Select all

-sel:all,+sel:(favlang|nolang),-sel:mvcvideo,=100:all,-10:favlang
I never changed those settings, with other blu-ray's i haven't experienced this problem.

The .mpls file that defines that title is probably hiding the other subtitles. If you look at the underlying .m2ts file, you'll find all the audio and subtitle tracks available. On the disc there is probably a different .mpls file that defines a different title that surfaces different audio or subtitle tracks.
