for some reason I could not play the Bluray using VLC but was able to rip both versions using makeMKV, then threw it in my main Bluray player to discern them. To help others avoid the hassle.
25.9 gb = 1:58:43 - extended version
24.0 gb = 1:49:53 - theatrical version
