Weird error with Dogma BluRay on open scan

So Ive had a few errors with this BRD and the only one I can recreate is when I go to open the disc at the beginning of the process.
Once I click on the little optical drive icon it begins to read the disc then proceeds to tell me I have an On the fly converter or decoder running and that its not a good idea. Warns me that the sun will melt, dogs and cats will get along, mass hysteria, real wrath of God stuff. Then says oh yeah if you want you can keep going but it wont be held responsible if nothing works.
Currently running the backup function from MakeMKV but it is taking a while and thought Id see if anyone has seen this before. PS I have no background on the fly processing decoders converting of any sort going on and this is the only BR out of hundreds I have ripped through the decades.
Running ASUS BD Drive on Win7 64bit (hush) latest release of program as of today (1.17.7 x64). As I just wrote this the program crashed, only about halfway through the backup.
I have tried to attach a screencap of the error but the board quota cap has been reached.
