No disc inserted on one disc

Hi everyone,
I saw multiple threads about this, but none solved my problem.
I've got the 'Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva' bluray but makemkv says that there is no disc inserted. I've flashed around 20 Blurays the past 2 days but this one wouldn't work.
tbh I don't think it's exactly a makemkv problem since windows explorer does not show the disc (only the drive)
I'm running the latest makemkv v1.17.3 x64 on windows 10 with a BH16NS55 flashed to WH16NS60 1.02.
Any ideas how I could make this happen?
Thanks

Been there, done that! You only really have three options (I'm sure you've heard all this before):
1. Clean the disc (even brand new discs need a clean every so often).
2. Try a different drive (some drives are less fussy than others).
3. Replace the disc (this sucks but if all else fails...).
And sometimes none of those options work. I had one title that I couldn't get to rip until the fourth copy purchased!

defective drive
sure.. the 20 other discs just pretend to work or how should I imagine the "defective drive"?
Anyway. Any tip on which pioneer is the best?

It has been my experience that some discs just don't seem to work in some drives. I have 3 different optical drives. When a disc doesn't work in my 'main' drive, I try it in one of my other drives. Often, a disc will work just fine in a different drive. Sometimes a disc won't work in any of my drives. Then I gently clean the disc and that usually gets it to work. On very rare occasions, I have to replace the disc.
