Question about Zone locked Blu Ray ripping

I work at a cult cinema in Norway where we sometimes rip Blu Rays when screening films. We have had some problems with ripping Zone A locked films, unfortunately. From what i have read in this sub, zone locks are software based and not harware based. However, i usually have had problems with ripping Zone A Blu Rays. Make MKV won't read most of them. For example, i tried "The Neverending Story 2" and "Beyond the Black Rainbow", who were both Zone A films. None of them worked. On the other hand, i tired ripping the Criterion release of "My life as a dog", and that worked perfectly.

I need a consistent way of ripping Zone A Blu Rays when we are forced to import films from the US. Does anyone know why the films i mentioned are not rippable? Will it work if i get a ripper from the US? Or should i just buy a Zone A player and screen through HDMI?

Woodstock said this:
people like to post identical things, THEN modify them to have scam links in them.
Scammers gonna scam I guess.
