Fight Club Blu-ray

Post by MetaMatt »

I own a Fight Club Blu-ray disc that acts very strange when watched using MKV. There are a lot of artifacts and random colored pixels, and cuts in the audio. Another user has confirmed that their disc does the same thing when using makeMKV. Is there a fix for this?

What are you playing the track with? Do the errors occur in the same place each time?

Generally speaking, MakeMKV won't rip damaged video from a disk. Playing it back subjects you to delays in the media. I've had video that skipped at seemingly random places when there was a delay in getting the data to the computer. Fixing what caused the delay fixes the video.

It always starts at about the 17:30 minute mark, and there seems to be nothing wrong with any of the menus or the first ~18 minutes.

My rip is fine, I just checked using MPV, IINA, and VLC.
