"hash check error" on one disc of a season set where others work fine

Post by baquinlan »

essentially the title, I am attempting to rip a season set and am getting "too many hash check errors" and then "The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00012.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 835571712, attempting to work around" whenever I try to rip this one disc. I have ripped all other discs from this set and they all work fine. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Attached is a photo of the messages get in MakeMKV when I try to rip this disc.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Season 1 has this exact issue.
I even tried a totally different version. Started out with a USA disc, imported a Canadian disc.
I eventually got it to work by copying all the files to the hard drive and ripping from the folders.
I suspect it is a mastering error that only a program like MakeMKV reports.
