the blu rays im ripping are around 45 -50 GB. But the files im getting are like 90 gb how is that possible?

Because BDs can contain multiple play lists that use parts of the same m2ts files to construct multiple "movies". An example is how Lionsgate will construct HUNDREDS of false play lists for a movie.

Always check the selected titles (select a title, click right and deslect all, and select only the one which is needed). To get the main movie, only ONE (!) title is needed. All others are duplicates, segment parts, wrong playlists, specials etc.
