Why is MKV Toolnix not showing "24-Bit" for Dolby TrueHD in Batman Returns

I recently decided to convert the movie Batman Returns from Blu-ray to MKV. Things turned out fine. When you click on "Properties" in MPC-BE, you see the specifications for all the sound formats. For Dolby TrueHD, it clearly shows the sound is "24-Bit" and has a rate of "6912kb/s".
The problem is the "Default" sound format is standard Dolby Digital 5.1 rather than the Dolby TrueHD. So, I decided to simply use MKVToolNix in order to make it so the "AC-3" is no longer the "Default" sound format. Instead, I selected "TrueHD" as the "Default" sound format. But, when I do this the specifications no longer show "24-Bit" or "6912kb/s" when you click on "Audio" or when you click on "Properties." This is unusual, because when I do this with DTS sound formats using MKVMerge, it always continues to show all of those specifications.
Does anyone have any advice?
