Alien Covenant BR - rips but with errors (pixelated images)

Just bought Alien Covenant BR today. Currently running the latest MakeMKV (1.10.6). Main feature rips, audio is fine, but get the typical pixelated/blocky video. I sent the .tgz file to SVQ, so hopefully that helps with the next MKV release. :)

I was running 1.10.5 and got the same error, so I uninstalled .5 and installed .6. Same error. I have recently ripped John Wick 2, all three The Expendables, Passengers and Underworld Blood Wars with no issues. Must be some new encryption on Alien Covenant.

Hope this helps the community. :)

Appreciate this as I'm also waiting. There's another thread here on the same topic: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16503

See the same pixelated output here, glad I checked the file before wasting time encoding it with HB. . Got the "no FUTS" error message and sent in dump.

Did you get a message during the rip about trying to decode the BD+ code but "No FUTs" were found? Assuming you did, did you click on the link provided, to report the issue to Mike directly?

If not, check your MakeMKV data directory for a new file that has a .tgz extension. If you find one, it should be emailed to svq@makemkv.com for analysis. Addition information available here: /svq/

Same issue here. Getting BD+ code processed but no FUTs were obtained, errors may follow.

Final product looks like pirated cable.

Who do I need to send the dump file to?

It copied fine for me, but I use AnyDVD to decrypt and MakeMKV to copy. I didn't run into this issue.

I think the dumps are sent to svq@makemkv.com. I believe they have already been submitted

Thanks mscroggi.

What's the typical time table for a fix when this issue arises?

Mike works at his pace...could take a day, could take a couple weeks. We just have to be patient until the update comes through.

Yes, that's exactly the error message I received. I emailed the 9MB .tgz file to svq@makemkv.com yesterday morning. Hope it helps the cause.
