Startrek Next Generation

Hi,
I have tried ripping the first Blueray of the Star Trek Next Generation (Full Journey) box. I encountered something strange and I am not sure if that's an error.
Version 1: I first ripped it with all languages and subtitles and got a length of 1:37:08 and a size of about 15.6 GB.
Version 2: I then ripped it with only English and German and got a length of 1:31:2 and a size of about 18.3 GB.
Ok, now i got confused and skipped through both videos. It seems both are fine, but the first version has a black screen for the last minutes after the regular ending. But how can this version be smaller in size, but still longer in time??
