MakeMKV won't decrypt

I recently replaced my HD and had to re install Windows 7. before this I was using MakeMKV with no problem. I tried to use it on a new disc and it wouldn't access the disc. I have a DVD drive as well and when I open the program it gives me a choice of drives and it shows the name of the disc in the drive. I choose it, but it says:

Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - AUTHENTICATION FAILURE' occurred while issuing SCSI command A30..00200740100720..0405E7CE28463DF4748382FB9038A51CD38 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'

In don't know what that means or how to fix it. I can't seem to find info either. Can anyone help? Thanks

If it's a new disc, or a 4K movie, MakeMKV may not have the AACS Key to read it properly. In the case of it being a new disc, you'll just have to wait for a new version of MakeMKV. If it's a 4K disc, it won't be readable until the AACS 2.0 standard has been broken.

Which movie / disc is it?

I meant to say this in original post, I also tried a couple that I ripped before with same PC and drive and they gave the same error. Something isn't working, but I don't know where to start.

One possibility - your shortcut no longer runs as administrator. That would prevent MakeMKV from getting enough control over the drive to exchange the key.

Another possibility is that you've found a disk with AACSv62, and it's blocked MakeMKV from accessing BDs.

I never ran as admin before and as I said I also tried older discs that I have ripped before with no luck. It's not the disc. There's a problem with the program. I'm guessing no one has had this problem before??

BTW, I did set up to run as admin and for compatibility mode for Win 7 with no luck
