I couldn't find much about the error in the following information other than it's most likely a dirty and/or damaged disc. However, I ask if anyone else is having the issue with this particular movie in that after a few attempts and retries and makemkv finally gets it, only the main film cannot be converted. The other three files convert without a problem. So, is this still a damaged or dirty disc issue? Or is it copy protection indeed, as some have mentioned in other titles I've read about with the same error coming up?

You're not the only one, I can't convert the hateful eight either. Maybe it's copy protected like you say.

To reply to the OP, the problem described and remedies suggested can be found here: /faq/item/7. I'd add that if all else fails, replace the disc.

Squibble, are you experiencing the same error or seeing a different one? Please post details.
