I converted a Blu Ray disc to mkv file. The picture quality is excellent but there is no sound on the movie. There is sound on the extras. It may be a DTS problem. I am using the Beta version. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What player are you using? Does it allow you to select audio tracks during playback? What happens if you play the MKV file with a player that understands more audio track encodings, such as VLC from Videolan.org?

I copied the Blu Ray disc a third time. There is still no sound when I play it back on computer using Windows 7 Media Player. But there is sound when I play it back on the TV using Western Digital Media Player. Problem solved. Thanks for your help.

Two solutions for your computer;
1) Get a Codec pack, such as K-Lite from free-codecs.com - This is one of the most complete and easy to install codec packs
2) Try KODI player. It is a player that uses minimal codecs.
