MakeMKV fails to recognize that Transcendence is loaded

I have an issue with my blu ray copy of Transcendence. Every time I load it into the disc tray MakeMKV will spin it for a while, and then claim that no disc is loaded. The disc itself is in pristine condition and my blu ray drive has worked perfectly for every other disc in my collection. I really enjoy this movie so any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated

Are you loading the disk before or after MakeMKV is running?
Sometimes, the operating system will tell MakeMKV that the disk drive is empty when it isn't. In most instances that I've experienced, either the operating system tried to load the disk itself and failed, or there was a problem with the disk.
Can you get a directory of the disk if you place it in the drive, WITHOUT running MakeMKV?
And does resetting the computer (not just rebooting, power-off/power-on resetting) change the behavior?

It must be a Windows related issue, I can't seem to be able to browse to the directory of the disc using the "Computer" window, it just gives me a popup that says "Please insert a Disc". I guess I'll try it on Linux Mint and we'll see if it's resolved. Thanks!

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I am experiencing the exact same issue on 2 bluray discs I have: The Condemned and Napoleon Dynamite. Were you able to find a resolution? Thanks for any direction you can give me in getting these to read.

Still haven't figured out a solution. I tried Transcendence on my Linux Mint machine and still nothing happened. Is there a FreeBSD release of MakeMKV? Maybe that would solve the issue?

No *BSD version, just Windows, OS X and Linux.
If the operating system can't even browse the directory of the disk, it doesn't really matter what operating system it is... The drive isn't seeing the data.

Well I don't know what could possibly be wrong with my drive, it's worked fine for every other disc in my collection :/
