Pirates of the Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl

Post by ascoop » Mon Apr 16, 2012 12:04 am

Recently downloaded MakeMKV and testing to back-up Blueray discs.

Experienced problem with: Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl

Program fails/crashes entirely just as it is beginning to scan the disc for titles. Error message reads, "Fatal error occurred - Program will now exit."

This disc is Clean and NEW!

Suggestions?

Have you installed the DASPI kernel extension? It's in the MakeMKV installer package for OSX.

I am not running OSX, so that would not apply to me.

Then you need to turn on debugging and post a log.

A temporary workaround for this disk is to set the minimum file length to something large (2400 seconds works) and that will skip the track that makemkv crashes on. After that it worked fine with 1.7.4 64-bit Linux version.

That workaround worked for me as well. Thanks!

Confirm that the 2400 second workaround also works for v1.74 on Windows. Otherwise, the .exe crashes out.

This should been fixed in 1.7.5
