All four of the discs mentioned in the subject fail to rip. For each I am just selecting the title that is the main movie and adding the DTS-HD track. Each one of them will get four or five minutes into the rip then the read rate will drop to zero (even though the drive light is flashing) and the remaining time will increment instead of decrement. I have only had one of the five discs that I have tried work. The working disc is IMAX Under the Sea. I'm currently using MakeMKV 1.7.0 on 32bit Windows XP with an LG BH12LS35 drive. There isnt anything in the log after the line like "Saving 1 titles into directory S:/Video/Red_Cliff_International_-_Part_2"
thanks for any help or ideas

Hi!
Two possibilities come to mind:
1) Your drive is beginning to fail
2) Your source material is either physically flawed or dirty or is not original, commercial Blu-ray discs

I wonder about those reasons. They are all commercial discs. Also AnyDVD HD (which I disable before doing any MakeMKV related work) is able to rip all four to a disc image without problem. I've even tried running MakeMKV on the ripped iso and have the same problem.
Is there any kind of advanced debugging/logging I can turn on? MakeMKV is showing a read rate of zero but the drive light is flashing like it is being read but the log says nothing about errors.
Also, all that said, I will try a different drive today and update you on what happens with it.

Re: Red Cliff I and II, Inception, and Crank All Fail to Rip
So I figured out the problem is my OS or PC hardware, not the drive or the disc. I did this by taking my drive and the discs to another computer and using them there. Everything worked as they should in the other PC. It is strange on my PC as MakeMKV says the read rate is zero but the drive light is flashing. Any idea how to debug this?
