I scored a "DVD Now" kiosk in a junk clean up that was FULL of blu rays and a few dvds (over 100 discs). I've been trying to rip them and, out of 20 I've tried so far, only one has been successful. Many of them are visually in excellent/perfect condition. Failures all appear to be read errors and not decryption. Some variation of:
The I/O device reported an I/O error' occurred while reading '\Device\CdRom0'....
and
HARDWARE ERROR:TRACK FOLLOWING ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00801.m2ts'
Because of this, I don't think there is anything special/unique about these discs, even if they were from a kiosk. But, maybe I'm wrong?
The website states:
"The simple workaround is to copy all files from the disc to the hard drive manually, without MakeMKV running. If you succeed in this, there is a fast and simple way to convert such copy into encrypted MakeMKV backup that can be opened by MakeMKV later. See our forum for details." Where in the forum are these details?
