Hi there, just wondering if anyone has come across this weird output issue.
When ripping a BD of Sheryl Crow - Soundstage the output from MakeMkv shows in mediainfo as variable frame rate and handbrake refuses to encode it.
VFR is not a valid format in BD terms so I doubt that a commercially produced disk would be using such a 'trick'.
When the makemkv output is played back in VLC and PowerDVD12, the video is playing at double speed compared to the audio.
As I said weird, never come across something like this before, and I have copied many BD's.
cheers CD

Resultant mkv is VFR?
Re: Resultant mkv is VFR?
What happens if you make a decrypted backup of the disc (icon of yellow folder with green arrow on the first screen in MakeMKV) and then use MKVToolNix on the backup to create a .mkv file?
Re: Resultant mkv is VFR?
Hi there, thanks for the reply.
I got around the problem by ripping with handbrake.
But out of interest I will follow your suggestion and get back here.
Cheers CD
