Single file multiple episodes

Post by JuddSandage » Sat Oct 26, 2024 12:19 am

I have tried the search feature but cant seem to find anything about this, I just got the complete Evangelion set as well as Bleach Thousand Year Blood War volume 1. Disc 5 of NGE gives me a 2 and a half hour movie, which when ripped has both end movies as one file. Both Bleach discs have all episodes as a single 5 hour video, any suggestions as to what to do? using the latest MakeMKV as well as Java 32bit and 64bit.

I don't want to go back to Handbrake and select each episode at chapter numbers again, did that with most of my anime years ago.

The disc was authored that way. Nothing MakeMKV can do. This is where MKVToolNix comes in handy. Split on chapter. Remux only.

Surely there is a way for MakeMKV to parse the playlist of the blu-ray for each episode? I thought for sure it could do it, Handbrake was only seeing a single video file for all episodes of Monty Python and older seasons of Bleach, then I started using MakeMKV to rip the discs and it showed the individual episodes, granted I have not checked now weather or not it does it.
