HashCheck & Read Error [Closed]

Post by Folan » Wed Jun 05, 2024 12:58 pm

Hello, this is my first time ripping Blu-ray disks, I got a used LG WH14NS40 Optical Drive, and I flashed it with

Code: Select all

HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936
firmware and it says Libre: Enabled. The optical drive is connected to PC.

This is the first Blu-ray disk I rip (Puss in Boots 2-Movie Collection) and it says it would take almost 12 hours going at 207 K/s [0.0X] speed. what am I doing wrong? Is it because I flashed it to rip 4k UHD Blu-rays, and now it lost the ability to rip normal HD Blu-rays?

Update 1: it keeps failing all of a sudden with this error code. This is a brand new Blu-ray disk I just took out from the case directly to the drive (Puss In Boots: The Last Wish) some of the error code shown below:

Code: Select all

Update 2: I tried again with the first disk (Puss In Boots) since it's a 2-film collection, and it ripped just fine even on [7.3X] speed, I tried again with the second disk (Puss In Boots: The Last Wish) and failed again, but when trying to rip extra parts like 2-mins extra scenes it works.

Update 3: I just unselected a subtitle track and it worked for some reason so now I have successfully ripped two bluray disks (Puss in Boots 2-Movie Collection), now I'm trying to rip (The Lord of the Rings) which is also a new movie and it keeps failing, could it be because the optical drive was purchased used?

Final Update: I refunded the Bluray disk and replaced it, worked afterward.
