Parasite BluRay

Post by barrygordon » Sun Feb 23, 2020 4:47 am

When I rip the parasite BluRay I get the video but no audio (I would expect voices and background) and no subtitles.

What are the proper settings to use for this disc? I select the Korean Audio track and English subtitles (with "forced only" not checked. I have tried the subtitle setting with forced checked and unchecked.

Can someone tell me what the proper settings are?

Please post a MediaInfo listing from the MKV file.

What format has the audio track? Is it DTS ? Did your playing Soft/-Hardware support this format?
Good Luck :)

Thanks for the reply,

My home theater can play any format form 2 channel PCM to full Atmos 7.4.1. I redid the rip with Makemkv and it seems all is okay. My Dune player defaults to Subtitles off even if there is a subtitle track in the mkv file. So telling the player to process subtitles resolved that. I selected all the audio tracks as I assumed they would all have the same background sounds but different spoken languages none of which I could understand.

I really do wish that they would have done an English language dubbed version. They did do a French in addition to the native Korean.
