I've read the "read this before posting thread" But I'm not sure what to do.
Maybe its not rippable, but I hope there is a fix.

It manage to do 100%, but then it fails to save the file as mkv I think.

Ive never experienced this with a disc before, Ive ripped nearly a thousand movies.

Your drive is having trouble reading the disk when it spins up to high speed; it is simply running out of power.

Is it plugged directly into the computer, into a powered USB hub, or an un-powered USB hub?

Directly into my macbook pro with usb. Its usb-powered only.

Is the Mac plugged in or running on battery?

If it's plugged in, there SHOULD be enough power to run the drive at full speed, although I think Asus provided a 2-head cable to give it access to "2 units" of USB power.

The way to limit the speed is to write to a destination that can't accept data at the same rate MakeMKV can pull it from the disk. I've tested using a USB 2.0 flash drive as the target, and it keeps the optical drive slowed to 4-6x read speeds, which is usually within the power limit of a single (powered) USB port. The caveat is that the USB flash drive has to be big enough to take the contents, and formatted in either ExFAT (Mac or Windows) or NTFS (Windows and Linux).
