Same model BD drive but different years behaving differently
Just wanted to check if this is expected behavior. I've got quite a few LG WH16NS40 drives although I haven't done any super scientific testing. I've just found in general that my older drives have trouble with certain titles while my newer drives have less issues. The last title I had issues with was Terminator(1). Would rip fine on my 2015 manufacture drive but fail on my 2013 manufacture drive. However, the 2013 drive works fine on a bunch of other titles. Titles as recent as 2015. What could be going on?

Different calibration in the lasers due to factory specs, age, dirt, any number of factors. Same firmware in all of them?
Personally am not a fan of LG drives due to too many failures, some of which sound similar to what you're seeing. There are people out there that say the same for Pioneer, ASUS, etc so more power to them, I love my Pioneer and ASUS drives.
