Fantastic Four (4 Widescreen) L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR

I'm getting the following error for this disk. Replace ~ with the user's home directory I censored it.

Your drive told the operating system it can't read the disk in that spot. The operating system told MakeMKV, and MakeMKV told you.

First step when this happens is to try cleaning the disk. I like to clean them with spray-type furniture wax (I use Pledge), because it will also fill in a lot of minor scratches that are hard to see, unless you're a laser trying to read itty bitty little bumps in a substrate.

If the disk is new, you have the option of returning it for replacement; sometimes disks are bad from the factory, or damaged in transit.

i have the same problem with this BLU RAY "THE LONE RANGER" movie:

what should i do? i already cleaned the BR disc using PLEDGE. still giving me this error

A clean, unscratched disk can still have manufacturing flaws, and it is possible that the drive itself is dirty.

If you "Open" the disk instead of using backup, can you save the files as MKV files? Sometimes, the file that fails a backup is NOT one of the main title files, but backup doesn't know that... so the backup fails, even when you files you WANT are readable.
