CHitty chitty bang bang encryption not being removed....?

#1 Post by hiyo3 » Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:48 pm

Just wanted to report what i think may be a problem with protection removal on this disc. I am wondering if anyone can shed some light. I have ripped this disc to hard drive but get error message in tmt5 saying "blu ray player requires an update in order to play this disc".

Info tells me that this is occurs when protection is not fully removed during rips. It seems makemkv cannot remove protection from this disc.
I tried dvdfab and get black screen. Tried anydvdhd and it works fine.

makemkv v.1.7.2
samsung sh-b123bl blu ray drive

MakeMKV decrypted full disc backup is just that - a disc backup with M2TS files decrypted. The original java files are not modified. Generally, full disc backup as it is is not suitable to be burned to a blu-ray disc. You can use multiavchd or bd-rebuilder to rebuild the proper image.
