Blu ray error

I created an mkv from a blu ray disc (the movie "Pina" by Winm Wenders, very recent release). The process seemed to go fine, but when playing the mkv, the audio track was good, but the video playback did not play well: The image was still, and then jumped to another in stead of playing smoothly. Player used: VLC, last release. Mkv: downloaded new version yesterday, tried again, same result.

2) Does your original, commercial Blu-ray play properly with VLC?
