Too much included in MKV files

Several times now, I have noticed some extra "baggage" at the end of the generated MKV files.
But I just tried "12 Monkeys Season 1 Disc 1", and here there is an additional unwanted thing at the beginning of the file.
If I use MPC to play the mpls, it correctly shows just the episode.
But if I have MakeMKV 1.18.2 extract the episode, it will start with a 2m30s long test signal, and ends with a 19s "pop" flash, and then silence.
Any chance the parsing could be improved to skip these - similar to how players are apparently doing it.
