I purchased a Verbatim 43890, fortunately with some BDs it cannot back up.
Can anyone help me figure out how to fix the problem?

It would help if you provided the errors from the log....

Anyway, the usual advise applies. Clean the discs. Use USB-C if possible, otherwise use USB ports direct on the motherboard or use a self-powered (30w+) USB hub.
