Ripping the Blu-ray disc in Movie mode:

The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00003.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 21883908096, attempting to work around

It tries hard to read the disc anyway but stays stuck at that one position. I could let it work for hours. The debug log file fills with recurring lines

Could this one error get ignored to proceed from the backup?

When I try to run MakeMKV to read files from the backup, it stops at the same position, about halfway (like at a layer break), and there it does not respond anymore.

I let the disc rip over night ... took about 3 hours, but eventually it finished.

As far as I checked, only the German audio tracks are damaged. May this be a one disc issue or rather a serial production failure? The disc seemed to be optically easily readable, it did not slow down, just repeated reading the same place. So I guess it is rather a data error than a surface damage.

So I got me the DVD edition as well. Ripped the BD video, the DVD AC3 audio, applied a PAL speedup to the video, synced the audio, added the DVD chapters, and made me a convenient MP4 copy.

Anyone hire me.
