Problem with Devil on Mac....

#1 Post by dpunder » Wed Jan 19, 2011 10:00 pm

I keep getting the following error when loading the blu-ray of "Devil."

Error 'Posix error - Input/output error' occurred while reading 'BD-RE HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH10LS30 1.00' at offset '12862289920'

AACS v19

I've never seen this error before -- perhaps it's something simple I'm overlooking. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi!

Try cleaning the disc and then shut down your system and coldboot...

The disc is brand new and appears to be physically flawless. I shut down and restarted but still get the same error except a different offset is reported.

Decided to watch the film from a Sony dedicated blu-ray player. About 45 minutes in the picture freezes. Had to power unit off and back on again. At this point I assume the disc itself is flawed in someway.

Sounds like a reasonable assumption. If possible, exchange it for a new replacement...
